east los angeles just wasn't a very safe place sometimes. gangs and all but i'm getting the feeling safety's not something a lot of people have had before getting dumped here.

well. sounds like neither of us was crazy, after all. [ To Will, it was a normal conversation, albeit with a slightly-aggressive start. And it had always had a certain focus she came back to... ]

you've been worried about group survival since the start. now i see where that instinct came from.

i used to be a homicide detective before i worked in forensics for the fbi. most of what i do is more relevant to figuring out WHY something brought us here and how to...negotiate with it, not how to survive outside.

especially since there's nothing to fish or hunt, here.

i think something brought us here consciously, and maybe not at random. and i think we can interact with it, we just need to find out how. [ Infodump much? Will's been able to see the other conversations here, though, and this awareness that they can see others' posts means he suddenly wants to share everything he can, for all of them to see. Like Octavia — he thinks they've got a better chance of survival as a group.

He just might have different concerns about how that's going to get accomplished. ]
