Logan's surprised by her words, but he's more surprised by the fact that his first feeling on hearing them is, unmistakably, unhappiness. He hadn't realised how deep it had gone. Had assumed that being headmaster to the school had just been a job like any other, and he's lead teams before, even ones that didn't want to be there. He's had fights and mutinies and worse. But this feels.. different. More like rejection.
